Make decorative bows - how to use a Bowdabra
Bowdabra is an ingenious, efficient and user-friendly tool that allows you to tie a bow in a myriad of cool looks, colours and sizes - a must have!
What is a Bowdabra?
A Bowdabra is a tool made of plastic that makes it easy to tie a beautiful and decorative bow for gift-wrapping, decorations etc. - an indispensable extra hand!
Bowdabra is pronounced the same way as abracadabra. It was invented by Sandy Sandler in the late 1990s.
How does a Bowdabra work?
-
The first step is to place a piece of ribbon into the Bowdabra.
This is used to tie together all the layers of the bow when it is finished. -
The next step is to fold ribbons of your choosing - tulle ribbon, organza, etc. - and place them perpendicular to the first piece of ribbon.
Combine different widths, materials, and colours to create an intricate bow. -
When you are done, use the little plastic rod to squeeze the layers together.
-
Now, tie it all together using the first piece of ribbon you placed into the Bowdabra.
-
Take the bow out of the Bowdabra and separate the layers to add volume.
That's it! You can make beautiful bows that easy.
