What is tissue paper?

As the name implies, tissue paper is a light and soft type of paper, that feels more like fabric than paper. The paper has a relatively high tensile strength and a soft, luxurious quality with a 10-30 gsm density. The thickness of the paper is measured in gms, which is an abbreviation for grammes per square meter - the lower the weight, the thinner the paper.

It is made from thin paper fibres, which are dyed and processed into fine, thin sheets.
