Westpack and the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Responsibility is an integral part of how we do business at Westpack. That is why we have for several years been a member of the UN Global Compact, working on the basis of the 10 fundamental principles within human rights, labor rights, environment, and anti-corruption. These principles form the foundation of our ESG efforts – both in Denmark, across Europe, and in our activities in Asia.

From Principles to Action

Building on the UN Global Compact, we have also committed ourselves to contributing to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This commitment is made visible through our SDG certification, which is continuously assessed by an independent third party. The certification ensures that we work systematically and purposefully with selected goals, and that they act as tangible drivers in our daily decisions and collaborations.

Our Strategy and Motivation

For us, the SDG certification is not a question of symbolism, but proof that we take responsibility and allow our efforts to be evaluated externally. Our motivation is twofold: We want to take responsibility for the impact we make, and we want to create transparency for our customers and partners, enabling them to make informed choices.

The Sustainable Development Goals today serve as an important supplement to our own values, guiding our decisions, investments, and collaborations. We focus on the goals where we can make a real difference – and when we highlight a goal, concrete actions follow. This is precisely why working with the SDGs has become such a strong driver for all of Westpack.
