Christmas is peak season for gifts – and therefore for packaging too.

And if you want to show your customers that you are making a little extra effort for Christmas, why not let the festive spirit make its way onto the packaging too?

It does not have to be complicated or require you to rethink your entire packaging range.

At Westpack, you have two ways to give your logo print a little extra Christmas spirit:

  1. Choose one of our ready-made Christmas designs directly in the logo module.
  2. Create your very own Christmas logo and have your own cliché made.

One option is quick and easy. The other is completely your own.

Option 1

The easy option: Choose a ready-made Christmas design

Want to quickly give your packaging a festive twist?

This is the easy way.

Once you are on the product you want to order, open the logo module as usual. Under Standard logos, you will find our selection of ready-made Christmas designs.

So there is no need to design anything in advance. Simply choose the design that best suits your brand, your product and the festive look you are going for.

How it works

  1. Find your favourite product Start by choosing the model, size and colour you want.
  2. Go to “Logo & placement” Open the logo module directly on the product page.
  3. Choose a logo Here you can choose between your own saved logos and our standard logos.
  4. Find your Christmas design under “Standard logos” Choose the festive print you like best.
  5. Complete your order Choose the placement, size and colour – and add it to your basket.

Under “Standard logos”, you will find the ready-made Christmas designs and can select the design you want on the product.

And just like that, your usual packaging has become a little Christmas Edition.

Mix your usual logo with a Christmas design

You do not have to choose between your own logo and the Christmas logo either.

If you use several layers of packaging, you can easily combine them.

For example, if you have a gift box on the outside and a jewellery box inside, you can keep your usual logo on the outer packaging and save the little festive twist for the jewellery box inside.

Or do exactly the opposite.

Maybe Christmas should be the first thing the customer sees. Maybe it should be a little surprise when the package is opened.

There is no single right way to do it – and that is rather the point.

Option 2

The personal option: Design your very own Christmas logo

Want a Christmas look that no one else has?

Then we take it up a level.

You can create your very own Christmas logo or Christmas design and have a cliché made specifically for your design.

And no, that does not necessarily mean hiring a design agency and starting a three-month branding project.

You can get surprisingly far with your existing logo, a good idea and a simple design or AI tool.

For example, it could be:
  • your usual logo with a small star
  • a snowflake integrated into your monogram
  • mistletoe above your brand name
  • a simple Christmas wreath
  • or something completely different that suits your brand

Of course, it does not have to be just for Christmas either.

You can use exactly the same idea for a product launch, an anniversary, Valentine’s Day, Halloween or International Talk Like a Pirate Day "arrrh".

It is entirely up to you.

From your logo file to the finished print

When you upload your new logo, Westpack's graphic designers review the artwork and make sure the design is suitable for printing.

You will then receive a proof showing the size and placement, which you need to approve.

Once the proof has been approved, a cliché is made with your design. The cliché is used to transfer the design onto the packaging using foil printing.

Once your cliché has been made, it can be stored and used again for future orders where the product and logo size are suitable.

So if you come up with this year's perfect Christmas logo, it does not have to be a one-hit wonder.

It can make another appearance next Christmas.

And the Christmas after that.

Keep it simple

There is just one thing worth remembering when designing your own motif:

Simple is good.

Foil printing works best with relatively simple graphic designs and clear lines.

Very small details, gradients, shadows, photographs and multicoloured designs do not work as well with this type of printing.

So there is no need to redesign your entire logo.

Quite the opposite.

The simpler the design, the better suited it will typically be to foil printing.
