Carrier bags are excellent for marketing. We have said this before (read the article) , and now we are adding a small family of untreated paper carrier bags to our assortment of luxury carrier bags.
Henrik Hansen, our sales manager, is always on the lookout for exciting packaging; he is always striving to have the best and most modern selection of packaging for goldsmiths. The latest product is the luxury carrier bag.
"They are gorgeous". That is the first thing Henrik says. There is no doubt that he is crazy about the new carrier bags, and it is easy to see why. They are exquisite – and they even come with an attractive price tag. Henrik talks about the design process:
The logo print is important
"The idea behind it was that we wanted to make a really beautiful carrier bag in a modern design, with a particular focus on the width of the print. We know how important it is for our customers to get their logos in just the right size. With this design, we have the ability to print even larger logos than on our normal paper carrier bags."
On the small carrier bag, the standard print can be 100x50 mm, while on the large carrier bag it can be up to 100x80 mm. By comparison, the standard print on a small kraft carrier bag would be 40x60 mm, while on a large it would be 60x80 mm. Area-wise, this means that the logo on the small carrier bag can be 2 times bigger, while on the large it can be 1.67 bigger.
It should be an experience
Apart from the logo print, we have also focused on quality. Henrik says, "We have chosen a very strong paper quality of 250 grams (where current kraft and glossy carrier bags are 150 grams; with 190 grams for the XL bag, ed.) in the popular uncoated variant, with a wide, woven handle."
He explains, "We want to give our customers an experience of quality when they fold out the bag and pass it on to their customers. And we want our customers to be able to feel the difference when they handle the bag; they should get a sense that this is a quality bag which is pleasant to the touch."
The bag is strong, with a lovely surface and a soft handle. Everything that Henrik points out can be felt right away when you handle the bag. And, with a smile on his lips, Henrik concludes with the same comment he started with, "They are gorgeous".
The new carrier bags are available in three modern and timeless colours: black, grey and nude.
