Our new jewellery box Tokyo ECO is for jewellery designers that want luxurious branded packaging at a reasonable price point. Each box features sharp edges and has a subtly textured surface. Inside, you find a 15 mm classic foam insert with velour topcoat.
Could the Tokyo ECO jewellery box be the perfect companion for your jewellery? Well, if you are looking for a luxurious yet affordable jewellery box, then yes, it very well could be!
The box series has been on its way for a long time, as sales manager Henrik Hansen explains:
“We wanted it to have super-sharp edges as you would expect from hand-assembled boxes, yet we wanted to use our machines in our Danish factory for the task. We have worked thoroughly with all details, and therefore the development process has also been a little longer than usual. But here we are, ready to launch the series!”
The box is made "sandwich style", which means that the lid and the base are separated by a collar. This stylish design makes the jewellery box stand out from the crowd.

Unique paper containing leather
If you look closely at Tokyo ECO, you will notice that the surface is very unique. It has a fine-grained pattern due to the fact that the paper contains leather (approximately 25%).
“When we print a logo on these boxes using our special hot stamp technique, it creates a magnificent result. We can highly recommend our metallic foil options, but there are many possibilities that would work very well with this box series”, Henrik explains.
Made in our Danish factory
Tokyo ECO will be released in three sizes and three colours: black, crème, and warm grey. The box series is made in our factory in Denmark using FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue.
“In recent years, we have introduced many new jewellery box series made from FSC-certified materials. It is primarily because your customers demand this feature, but also because we believe it is preferable to most alternatives”, says Henrik.

What does FSC® mean? Allow us to explain.
FSC® stands for Forest Stewardship Council® and is an international non-profit labelling system for wood and paper.
The FSC mark guarantees that the wood-based materials used come from an FSC forest, where no more wood is cut down than the forest can reproduce. This means better protection of the animal and plant life, and all foresters have proper training, safety equipment, and a decent wage.
All FSC certifications around the world are built on the same basic principles. When you buy an FSC marked product, you know what you get - no matter if the product is produced in Denmark or Bolivia.
Among our best-selling FSC products, you will find the jewellery boxes Boston ECO, Frankfurt ECO, and now also the Tokyo Eco jewellery box. These jewellery boxes have our FSC brand underneath the bottom of the box. Our FSC license number is FSC®C112509.
