Each insert has a velvety topcoat, one you might recognise from its foam counterpart. This topcoat is made from viscose, which is a natural by-product from wood production. Once your jewellery and insert are snugly in place in a jewellery box, the result looks very similar to a traditional foam-filled jewellery box.
