This elegant ribbon has a luxury finish, a high fibre strength and a nice, smooth surface. When you feel the ECO-ribbon, you are surprised by its similarity to polyester, but this ribbon is made entirely from wooden pulp. Making it an environmentally conscious alternative to the classic polyester ribbons.
Logs of wood are turned into pulp, which is turned into fibres through a smart chemical (and environmentally harmless) process. The fibres are then used to create a yarn that is weaved to make the ribbon, also called Lyocell ribbon.
Lyocell fibre is biodegradable. Under certain circumstances, it can be wholly composted.
